Located on the World Heritage Site of Mount Koya, this is both a temple lodging and the family temple for the entire Tokugawa clan. Memorial services are held for the successive generations of Tokugawa generals and the three branch families and guests can pay homage at the Buddhist mortuary tablet belonging to the Tokugawa family. While the temple has a long history, the temple lodging was renewed in December 2015. And, in keeping with the times, the lodging provides wheelchair accessibility.

*Temple lodgings were originally accommodation facilities for Buddhist priests and practitioners, but they now also accept regular tourists.
A Buddhist temple is also located on site, so both staff and priests will offer hospitality to guests.

- Sutra Transcription: Transcribe Buddhist sutras.
- Ajikan Meditation: Meditate while looking at the Sanskrit symbol for “A”.
- Visit to Tokugawa Shoguns’ Buddhist Mortuary Tablet: Visit the Buddhist mortuary tablet belonging to the successive shoguns from the Tokugawa Clan, the family line that ruled Japan during the Edo period (1603-1868). A Buddhist mortuary tablet is a wooden tablet that is recorded with the names of the deceased. In Buddhism, mortuary tablets are seen as the same as the deceased, and are cherished as such.
