The hotel is located just a 3-minute walk from Byodoin on the Uji River. Visitors in the summer can witness the famous art of fishing with cormorants. Guest meals include steamed rice with eel and soba noodles made with Uji tea. The hotel also prepares delicious grilled sweetfish dishes.
From July 1, 2017 to the end of September 2017, guests of this hotel will be able to view cormorant fishing on the Uji River, located directly in front of the hotel (separate charge).
