By Sakamoto Cable: Board this funicular railway line at Cable Sakamoto Station, which is 10 minutes on foot from Sakamoto Station (Keihan Railway), and alight at Cable Enryakuji Station after about 11 minutes.
*The final Sakamoto Cable car departs at 17:30 in summer and between 16:30-17:00 in winter.
Eizan Cable & Ropeway: Take the cable line from Yase to Hiezan Station (9 minutes), then take the ropeway for 3 minutes to reach the summit of Mt. Hiei. Then take the shuttle bus to Enryakuji Bus Center. It is about 5 minutes on foot from there.
*The last cable car on the Eizan Cable line departs at 17:35, the final ropeway gondola departs at 18:04.
