Wonderful ryokan at the heart of the old town, the service was impeccable (free shuttle to and from Takayama station, lovely staff) and the food absolutely delicious. The onsen was so relaxing and as the baths are switched daily, guests can experience both

Very warm welcoming and service. The Ryokan was well situated, almost in the woods, right across a temple. However it is a bit difficult to access, we had to walk at least 30 minutes from the train station and it's upon a hill, so quite tiring. The room we
