Situated in the heart of a hot spring town and just a minute's walk from the entrance of Jigoku Meguri, a large, open area with hot springs bubbling up out of the ground, this hotel is convenient for sightseeing and shopping. It also features 4 different large, public open-air garden baths filled with hot springs pumped straight from the source.

The muddy water is good, but the bath is dirty. The food is not good (not worth the price). (The food is not good (not worth the price). The waiter's Japanese is not good and it is difficult to understand him.

I went to the spa with high expectations for the hot spring water. I was a little worried because many reviews said it was "too hot" or "too lukewarm," but this time the temperature was just right. We used the "room omakase plan," but unlike other reviews, the air conditioning was individualized for each room, and although it was an old building, it was spacious enough to be comfortable. We had one elementary school student, so it would have been nice if we had been informed in advance about yukata and slippers for children. (Cute slippers for children were placed in front of the elevator on the first floor with a "please feel free to use" sign, but there was no specific signage, so it seemed that only those who noticed could use them. I asked later and went to the front desk to get a yukata for the kids). I was not aware of the service in the lobby on the first floor where you can choose from a large selection of shampoos, and I was not able to use it, so it would have been nice if there was a guide for this as well. Although the facilities are old, I had the impression that they had made a lot of efforts to provide services, so I was glad to have used the hotel.

“public bath located inside a building”
There is one indoor bath and one open-air bath each. The quality of the spring seems to be different from that of the previous spring, and is similar to the golden spring in Arima. It warmed my body from the core and my body felt warm even after leaving the bath, and I was able to get a good night's sleep, perhaps because I was relieved of fatigue. The location was convenient for strolling in the center of town, close to Jigokudani (Hell Valley).
