The buffet was in a tatami room, so it was kind of relaxing. The employees greeted us and talked to us, which was nice.

Kohantei’s outdoor onsen is definitely superb with a direct view to the lake. The room is also really clean and spacious. What we think to be the most helpful too is the fact we have a shuttle bus from the airport and to Sapporo station. We really apprecia

Rooms were small, typical of most Japanese hotels. Main complaint was the quality of the meals. For the price paid, the buffet was one of the worst I have experienced. Tempura offerings had no seafood but vegetables. The beef cut was very chewy and me

“I still like the lake view.”
There were mountain-side and lake-side rooms available, and we chose the lake side because we could see the fireworks. However, the fireworks on the lake ended at the end of October, and there were illumination displays in town. There were quite a few people and it was beautiful. The open-air bath overlooking the Nakajima Island was a great liberating experience. 500 yen bingo game was not recommended due to the poor prize and hit ratio. The bingo game for 500 yen is not recommended, but there was a travel support campaign, so I guess it was fairly good value for money. If not, it should be a little cheaper.
