The exclusive hotel situated beside the Oirase Mountain Stream, a base spot for walking tour of the mountain stream. High quality hot spring water coming from Mt. Hakkoda is abundantly flowing in the hotel's large communal bath. A huge impressive fireplace designed by Taro Okamoto (an artist 1911-1996) is placed in the lounge.

We stayed for two nights. The dinner menu was the same for both nights. Since Mr. Hoshino recommends 3 days and 2 nights, I thought it was necessary to change the contents of the first dinner and the second dinner. Breakfast was also a scolding.

Expected so much but disappointed at last. Paid extra for dinner when check-in. Lot of people wait for dinner that night, staff asked me went back later because no table available. Went to restaurant twice, finally entered to eat around 8p. No hot water,

I stayed with OIRASE KEIRYU Hotel on 15th Oct 2015 for 1 night. We love their food and the nature surrounds this hotel. The stream behind the hotel and the autumn foliage are awesome. The only doubt we have is, we have booked "Japanese-style room" thru J

“regret”
I had high expectations for this hotel because it was well located for visiting the Oirase mountain stream and was affiliated with the Hoshino Resort. The staff and activities were as expected, but I was not satisfied with the hotel, perhaps because it is a large hotel and accepts tourists and inbound travelers. The buffet was crowded and the manners of the guests were bad and noisy. The taste and content is only better than most buffets. I didn't notice the bath at night, but when I got in in the morning, there were not a few hairs floating in the bathtub, but a lot of them, and I got out immediately. I would have thought that half of what we paid would be enough, but 33,000 yen per person for a room for 4 people on a Sunday seemed too expensive. I guess it is inevitable to go to Oirase Keiryu (mountain stream)...I expected too much.
