Many woodblock prints and antiques are exhibited in the inn filled with the atmosphere of Edo era (1603-1867). This hotel offers guests special foods based on the recipes enjoyed by the Edo townspeople taken from the novel, "Onihei-hankacho." Party plans to enjoy Edo entertainment such as hokan (traditional male entertainer), rakugo (comic monologue) and kodan (storytelling) are also available.

    The ryokan is placed at 5-10 min walk from the Tsukuba Express Asakusa station. It's not far from the Senso-ji. The staff and service were wonderful. We arrived by taxi and by the time the driver was paid, all of our luggage were already taken care of (!)

    Do yourself a favour and definitely stay a night in a Ryokan. Great place and close to temple in Asakusa really gives you an idea of traditional Japanese life. Was not able to include the food as we were on a tight budget and the accommodation is expensive

    Very friendly english speaking staff that together with the neighbourhood, hotel itself and its baths and breakfast gives you a very japanese feel. If you can afford the extra yen it costs to stay here it is well worth it.
