(1) This is a well-established ryokan founded in 1830.
(2) It is just 3 minutes on foot from Toba Station on the Kintetsu and JR lines (free shuttle available). Some of Ise-Shima's major sightseeing facilities - such as Toba Aquarium, Mikimoto Pearl Island, and sightseeing tour boats - are also within walking distance.
(3) While in a location that is convenient for city sightseeing, this lodging boasts of a great view overlooking Toba Bay.
(4) The South Wing - which features 20 different guestroom types (including barrier free guestrooms) - was reopened after renovations in July 2018.
(5) There are 3 types of dining: buffet, revolving restaurant, and in-room dining.
Depending on their accommodation plan, guests can select a buffet at "Shinwa Dining Ten Chi Kai" where they can enjoy a nightly local fish cutting show, creative kaiseki cuisine made with in-season Ise-Shima ingredients at the "Kochi to Umi" rotating restaurant, or in-room dining for dinner.
(6) Todaya's hot spring facilities include 13 gender-segregated baths, 2 foot baths, and 18 ganban'yoku bedrock spa beds. 5 free private baths (hot springs).

We were able to save money with a coupon from the Toba Ryokan Association (3,000 yen coupon and 1,000 yen gift certificate). We stay at Kishuntei with a great view for two nights every September. The location in front of Toba station is good, the customer service is good, the rooms are good, the food (buffet and room service) is good, the baths (especially the open-air bath) are good, and everything is satisfactory. I am now looking forward to seeing the Todaya again next year when it is under renovation and will be different. Thank you very much. We hope to see you again next year for another project like this one.

I have no complaints about the customer service, food, or guest rooms, as it is a long-established hotel. I have used other ryokan in Toba several times, but I think this is the best. Also, the price is not too expensive for a normal room, so you can use it within your budget. We plan to visit Todaya again next year.

I read in the reviews that there are many foreign staffs, but they are all very attentive and kind. The room is a Japanese-style room at Ureshun-tei. The room is so spacious and clean that it is hard to tell from the outside appearance. There is a spare key, so you can stay separately. We were anxious to find a table for our large group of more than 10 people, but we were told that a seat had already been reserved for us and that we would be served in a semi-private room for a large group. The buffet breakfast and dinner were both delicious and I would like to repeat the experience. The baths are outside the hot spring village, so if you are worried about insects, it might be tough. There is a water server in both bathhouses with ice-cold water, so you can relax for a long time. It is nice that there are vending machines with bottles of coffee milk and milk. The store has a good selection of souvenirs. I would like to come back again for a more relaxing stay.

We took our 7 month old grandson with us for the welcome baby special. We had everything we wanted in the room, and baby food came with an apron when we booked it. He ate it all up. They also had children's chairs for all ages, and they set them up properly. The private baths were all available and we were able to take our time in the bath of our choice. The food was delicious. I would like to go back again with my whole family.
