This inn is located in the center of World Heritage Kumano Kodo, and has some of the best hot springs in the Kansai area. The authentic food and onsen (hot spring baths) are very popular with guests, with many coming back to stay again.

From the outside this ryokan has clearly seen better days. But once you enter it you will have great service and a clean room. Unfortunately smoking is allowed in the rooms, therefore the rooms can have a bit of a stale smell. The size of our room was okay

Good food and good service. Easy walk to town senate and Hongu loop walks. Don't be put off by shabby exteria. We saw some small monkeys from our room. Great value!

This was a lovely onsen. Though the interior is a little bit dated, the staff was extremely helpful and polite and welcoming, even to Japanese standards. It was a place I'd go back anytime.

Yunominesou is a fantastic place to stay. The staff are great and my short stay was wonderful. Access by bus was the only difficulty - I ended up in the middle of nowhere before catching another bus that kindly dropped me off right outside the ryokan. I'd
