This inn is located in a river valley in a naturally blessed area considered holy ground since ages past as the home of the gods. It features spacious, classical Japanese-style guest rooms, and the open-air bath located on the river bed is Kawayu Onsen's only truly outdoor bath. In the summer, guests can enjoy swimming and river-related activities and will find their minds and bodies refreshed by the soft murmuring of the river through the ravine. For those wishing to visit the Kumano Kodo pilgrimage route, the inn offers free shuttle service to Hasshinmonoji, Fushiogamioji, and Hongucho.

“Mixed bathing in yukata”
The couple was able to take a relaxing bath in the open-air bath on the riverbank. It was thanks to the yukata provided. There were plenty of yukatas available. If this open-air bath were a little wider, there would be nothing to say!
