A traditional ryokan located in Fukuchi Onsen, one of the hot spring areas of Okuhida Onsenkyo, Hida/Takayama’s secluded hot spring.
The lodging features an old folk house-style interior that has carried on the traditions of Japanese culture, spacious hot springs bestowed by nature, and irori hearth cuisine prepared by a chef that knows all there is to know of mountain delights.
There are 5 types of Japanese-style rooms with varying aspects: ‘Keyaki no Ie,’ a Japanese-style room with an irori hearth and indoor cypress bath; ‘Kiri no Ie,’ a Japanese-style room with an irori hearth; ‘Matsu no Ie,’ a Japanese/Western-style room with an irori hearth and twin beds; ‘Kuri no Ie,’ a Japanese-style room with a brazier; and the standard Japanese-style room.
All guestrooms are equipped with free Wi-Fi.
In addition to the irori hearth lobby, the lodging is equipped with furnishings that let guests feel the traditional culture of Japan.
For the hot springs, in addition to the shared open-air bath and indoor baths, there are 3 private baths available, all of which guests can use free of charge.
For dinner, guests will be served a kaiseki course meal prepared with Hida beef in the irori hearth dining room.
With an additional order, guests can also savor Japanese sake from Hida and Takayama.
It is about 10 minutes by car to the Hirayu Onsen Bus Terminal, which serves as the entrance to Kamikochi in Chubu-Sangaku National Park as well as the Norikura Skyline, a mountain sightseeing road connected to Mt. Norikura Tatamidaira.

Very good”
Beautiful ryokan - very historic with tons of character. The onsen in particular were beautiful. We were disappointed with the food - the quality of the beef was not very high, and it seemed that our meal was missing several courses that other diners had

The building setting was pleasant and peaceful. Our room with irori hearth was huge and nice. Hot springs temperatures were not hot at all, but enjoyed the public one besides the river very much. Food served during the dinner were disappointing. Hida beef

Exceptional”
It's expensive but the experience is all class. Beautiful room, superb setting and onsen, wonderful food that is a work of art in your own private dining room. A total pleasure.

夫婦で訪れました。駐車場から玄関に向かう道は苔むし、趣きのある道は期待感満載でした。食事も風呂も大満足でした。
