Beautiful ryokan, with lovely hosts and good facilities. Excellent location close to station. Clean and very comfortable. Well maintained. Great quality breakfast.

We were amazed by the beauty of this big old Japanese house and the kindness of the staff. It is very rare that a traditional house of culture heritage class is operated as an Ryukan. We will definitely return to Takayama and this ryokan again.

Lovely stay at a traditional rayokan. Very old fashioned, lovely hearty breakfast. Makes it a fun experience as you are provided kimonos to wear. The rooms have gas heaters and a tv. They come round and make your beds for you.

An excellent ryokan with exemplary services. Our family of 2 adults and 2 kids( age 9 and 11) thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Not to mention the delicious Japanese breakfast served for the 3 days 2 nights stay.
