Three different reservable open-air baths each with their own unique elegance. With no roof over your head, you’ll be able to admire a sky full of stars or the magic of pure white snow falling around you.
3:30PM – 9:20PM (Free: Reserve bath when checking in)
9:30PM – 8:00AM (Reserve one bath for the full night for 3,000 yen. Accepting reservations in advance.)
**Please note that the reservable private baths do not have a place to wash yourself.
In Takayama City, Gifu Prefecture, an accommodation tax system will be introduced starting from October 1, 2025.
The rate per person per night depends on accommodation fees (room charge only) as follows.
- For accommodation fees less than JPY 10,000: JPY 100
- For accommodation fees from JPY 10,000 to under JPY 30,000: JPY 200
- For accommodation fees JPY 30,000 or more: JPY 300
*The accommodation tax must be paid on site.
- Taxation does not apply to those who are under 12 years of age (includes 12-year-old elementary school students).

We spent 2 nights at this property, the service is good, design is unique, my kids love the onsen! Only this place is a bit far from town. But parking is free.

The staff are absolutely warm and lovely. Older onsen which is a little dated but well looked after. Only used private onsen via a booking which was very nice but it was in the evening so can't provide much more information regarding it. Traditional Japane

Wow! This was one of the best places we stayed on our vacation. It is not all modern and flashy, but the feeling was very traditional and comfortable. The baths are outstanding (really great) with a great view of the mountains. The private bath outside at

“Excellent”
Nakamurakan’s staff is very friendly. The food is excellent. The onsens are very beautiful and relaxing. Nakamurakan is a traditional riokan that makes us do a good in time.
