Hot spring water from Yugami-no-Yu, the oldest source in the area is used for the baths at Hiratakan. The 100% natural, free-flowing hot spring water is not circulating, and no water is added. Therefore the skin beautifying effect is said to be phenomenal.

The hot spring water used at this hotel is sourced from the oldest hot spring source in Okuhida. Both the cypress inroom bath and open-air rock bath are filled with non-circulating 100% natural hot spring water, and are known to moisturize and remove keratin from the skin.

平田館は優しく良い宿でした。人、お湯、料理はとても良かったです。ただ源泉かけ流し露天風呂付き客室を下呂温泉や奥飛騨温泉で４泊し、それらが老舗だったり、格式の高い宿だった為、平田館の建物や設備などにテンションをあげる事はできませんでした。

ホテル自体は思っていたよりはこじんまりしてました。 部屋は充分な広さで２人には充分過ぎる広さでした。 部屋の露天風呂も結構大きく大満足でした。 温泉街は思ったほどではありませんでした。 コンビニっぽいお店もありましたがビール等が定価より高いってあり？ 精算時にクーポン利用したにも拘わらず反映されていませんでした。 気が付いたのでその旨話した所、割引してもらえましたが気が付かなければ 割引なしで精算だったと思います。 全体的には折角満足だったのに最後にこれはどうよ～って思ってしまいました。

平湯温泉バスターミナルからも近く（１～２分）大きな道路にも面していなく静かにゆっくり滞在できました。お湯も優しく、かといって薄いわけでもない絶妙な泉質に驚きました。夕食もボリュウムのある飛騨牛に舌鼓。朝食はあっさりとしたハチミツにクロワッサンがついて他の旅館の朝食とは一線を画した独創的なメニュー。今回の旅行は大当たりでした。ありがとうございました。

“Excellent”
Nice location, it locates in National Park but surrounding by many other properties. The room is neat and tidy as usual in Japan. The portion of breakfast and dinner are too big, unable to finish.
