We stayed at this hotel for a long-desired visit to Bicchu Matsuyama Castle. I visited Bicchu Matsuyama Castle on the same day and FUKIYA on the following day. The room was very user-friendly, with many electrical outlets on the desk and under the pillow, as many travelers in recent years have been carrying electrical appliances. The meals were delicious both in the morning and evening, but what impressed me was that the toothpicks were set in a beautiful spiral shape in the toothpick holder on the table. Perhaps it was a corona measure to reduce the risk of touching other toothpicks, but it was aesthetically pleasing.

I think it could be a little cheaper, but there are not many hotels around, so I guess it can't be helped. You can choose between Japanese and Western breakfast. I chose the western style, but the sausage was delicious.

My wife and I stayed in a twin room for our son's college graduation ceremony. The room and bath were spacious and comfortable.

Hotel is very conveniently located just a couple of minutes walk from Bitchu-Takahashi Station. Clean comfortable room, and the staff were friendly and helpful. I stayed and then visited Bitchu-Matsuyama castle the next day. In the immediate vicinity there

“Ohara after a long time”
It has been a long time since I have been to Ohara, which I could not visit due to the Corona disaster. I think it is a good location for sightseeing because it is close to Jakkoin Temple, only a minute or two walk away. It was a cold day, but I was glad that there was a kotatsu in the room. The hot spring water is easy to get into. The meal was a botan nabe course, but the wild boar meat tasted different from other meat, and I don't know if it was the seasoning or the original flavor, but it bothered me a little. I have had botan-nabe at other restaurants in Ohara, but the taste did not bother me at that time. It does take about an hour from Kyoto station, but I think that is part of the beauty of Ohara.
