Everyone we met, even the security guards, greeted us pleasantly. We stayed here again this time to visit the four shrines. We were very satisfied with the soba noodles we were served after returning to the inn after visiting the four shrines. The heating in the room was not working well and the toilet seat in the hallway was cold because the heater was turned off.

Clean room. Fusion style Kaiseki dinner in private room. Friendly, helpful and English speaking staff. Modern facility. Male onsen is at level 2 which is has a limited view to the lake.

部屋の暖房が全然効いてなかったので、寒かった。 従業員が朝すれ違っても、挨拶されない人もおり、少しびっくりした。布団敷きや片付けの時に机の上にあったゴミなどはそのままだったので、片付けてほしかったです。食事の時のお品書きのそれぞれの説明が省略しすぎている気がした。もう少し説明してもいいと感じた。ツアーガイドさんはとても分かりやすくて、楽しかった。

“Excellent! But too bad about the dining room.”
This was my first visit to Nagano and I stayed here. The room was clean and well-equipped, even though it was on the mountain side. The location is also great, with a great view of the fireworks display at Lake Suwa. The only disappointment is the dining room. The staff was not smiling and put the dishes on the table with a lot of noise! The waiter who served us was not smiling and put the dishes on the table with a clattering noise. The waiter was the same person for breakfast and dinner, and while I could hear very detailed explanations of the dishes from the room next door, his explanations were rather bland and I couldn't understand the dishes very well. Also, the room where we had our evening meal was a tatami room, and there was a large piece of trash under the desk, and the cleaning situation was disappointing. I am not always bothered by things falling at the table, but since you have to take off your shoes to go up to the tatami room, I would like you to be a little more careful. It is a pity that it is not a cheap place to stay.
