“さらば孤島のリゾートホテルよ”
空港からモノレールの駅で降りると、広大な緑地のあちらに太陽の塔、こちらにホテルと観覧車が見える。少し前にエキスポシティが出来る前は、周囲に喧騒の感じられない陸の孤島でした。しかしそれも、非日常感があってよかったです。上品で丁寧なフロント対応も気持ち良いものでした。みんぱくと万博公園の他に、大規模レジャー施設も出来て、夜までたっぷり楽しめる素晴らしい立地のこのホテルが、来年２月末に閉館とは残念です。今回、頼んだわけではないけれど、太陽の塔が見える８階の部屋にして頂き、素晴らしい眺めを深夜まで楽しめました。かなり古いホテルですが、水回りなど含め清掃は完璧です。暑がりな私にとって最大の難点だった「空調が一括管理、部屋ごとに温度設定できない」ことも、今回（外気温３３度）問題なく涼しくしてありました。冷蔵庫の電源も入っていたため、チェックインの前に部屋を冷やしてくれたのでは？と思われます。
