This storied ryokan was established in 1576 and is located on the upper part of Ishidan-gai, the long stone steps in the middle of Ikaho Onsen hot spring resort. It has a total of ten baths with an abundant supply of hot water from the kogane-no-yu hot spring, renowned for its medicinal qualities. Open-air baths and reservable baths are available, as well. Every room has a beautiful mountain view and traditional Japanese decor. The hotel also boasts a delicious selection of seasonal Japanese and Western cuisine made chiefly from fresh, local ingredients. This is an ideal location to experience the rest and relaxation only a true ryokan can offer.

[Important] Notice of Lodging Hot Spring Saemon-no-Yu Renovations
Kishigon Ryokan staff would like to thank everyone for their continued patronage.
In order to provide a more comfortable hot spring experience to guests, the large communal bath will be undergoing renovations during the following period.
Lodging staff would like to apologize for any trouble or inconvenience to guests, and ask for their understanding and cooperation.
1. Scheduled Period: Sept. 1, 2026 (Tue.) - Jan. 31, 2027 (Sun.)
2. Affected Facility: 1st floor large communal bath Saemon-no-Yu
3. Hot Spring Usage during Work Period
- During the above period, Saemon-no-Yu will operate with alternate bathing times for men and women.
- The remaining baths in the lodging, Gonzaemon-no-Yu and Rokuzaemon-no-Yu men's and women's baths, will be usable as normal.

石段の中間くらいにある旅館なのでとても便利でした。 夕食前に石段街を散歩して疲れた体を黄金湯で癒されるのは最高です。 夕食も石段をモチーフに付け出しが載って見た目も豪華でした。 朝食のビュッフェはエレベーターにも混雑時間が表示されており７時から時間帯は丁度でした。品数が多く大変満足しました。 何より良かったのはオシャレなラウンジでドリンクを１５時からフリーで飲めるのでお財布を気にせず気楽に頂ける

車で宿まで行くのに道が分からず困りました。宿までナビを頼りに行きましたが、中々行けなくて、結局宿にｔｅｌしてやっと着けました。宿は石階段が目の前にあり、立地は最高でした。お風呂も朝夕食ともに大変満足でした。機会が有れば、また宿泊したいです。

初めての伊香保で利用させていただきました。館内はレトロな雰囲気で素敵。 朝食も種類豊富で満足。３つあるお風呂もすべて素晴らしいお湯でした。 部屋は古いけど掃除が行き届いていましたが少しタバコの匂いが残っていました。 階段の途中にある趣きのあるホテルでまた行きたいです。

“I would like to stay there again.”
The location of the inn was really nice! The rooms were remodeled and clean and the view from the room was great. The hot water in the bath is also very nice. I would stay there again.
