We stayed two nights in a renewed Japanese-style twin room, building C. The room was clean and spacious. The room was clean and spacious. The bath was a wonderful hot spring with the warmth of wood. The rooms are almost the same in construction, but I felt the new Tamagawa Onsen was larger. You can get a free same-day ticket to Tamagawa Onsen at the front desk. If you want to take the bath of your choice, please apply at the front desk as soon as possible. If the weather permits, the Tamagawa Onsen Nature Study Path is located just outside of Tamagawa Onsen, where you can take a "bedrock bath," a thermal bath where the geothermal heat emitted from the bedrock is absorbed into the body. Steam gushes out from everywhere, and you can feel the geothermal heat. It is about a 15-minute walk from Shintamagawa Onsen. It is a good exercise to take a walk. The hotel staff told us that the goza (straw mats) storage area at Shintamagawa Onsen might be stolen because there is no lockable goza storage area for guests, but we left ours there for three days and it was fine.

I stayed one night. I thought that staying another day or two would give the hot spring effect. And I learned once again that the Shin Tamagawa Onsen and Tamagawa Onsen are easily accessible on foot in between the rainy season.

The bath was very nice. I guess there must have been some kind of problem this time, but the water supply in the room went out and I had a little trouble using the toilet and brushing my teeth. However, that bath was great. I would like to go back.
