The hotel is old but spacious, well-maintained and comfortable. The double room we stayed in is spacious and comfortable in the back, but note that the air conditioner is located near the window and away from the bed, so the heater must be set on high to get warm (28 degrees was just fine). There is also a large bathroom with a slightly hot bathtub, a 90-degree dry sauna, and a water bath of about 18 degrees. I remember writing in a review that I was disappointed that the sauna and bath were too lukewarm when I visited before, but this time the temperature of both the sauna and water bath were excellent, and I found them to be well adjusted (although there is no place to adjust the temperature). The sauna is not available late at night. The price is cheap and I highly recommend it for those who like saunas and big baths.

Nice hotel. The big rod/tag attached to the room key needs to be much smaller so guests can carry it with them when outside the hotel. Soap in the bathroom would also be great (a bath towel is provided but no soap).

“Reassuring hotel for business trips and sightseeing”
With the cost of lodging skyrocketing in Sapporo, where inbound travel is heating up, I am so grateful that I can still stay at a great price. The front desk staff were wonderful and very friendly, and the breakfast was hearty and energizing for the day. It is a long-established hotel with a sense of history, just like "the business hotel".
