This lodging is a “ryokan” which is part of Japan’s indigenous culture. It is located in Ogoto Onsen, a natural hot spring area just a 20 minute train ride from Kyoto Station. In the ryokan, guests wear yukata and at night, sleep in futon. The ryokan offers guests a day in a relaxed atmosphere that will put their mind at ease. The dining menu also features Omi beef. Omi beef - one of Japan’s top 3 wagyu beefs - has a history of more than 400 years, and out of those top 3 wagyu beefs, it has been loved by everyone the longest. It is renowned for its high degree of marbling, mellow fragrance, and tenderness. In addition to Omi beef, from December to March, there are also plans where guests can enjoy snow crab.
