This well-established inn of only 18 rooms first opened its doors more than 130 years ago and continues to welcome guests to the North with sincere hospitality to this day. Located in the highlands of Hiraisomisaki, it stands some 60 meters above sea level and provides a sweeping view of Otaru Bay and the town, with the yacht harbor and Bay City just below. The inn's large, stone-craft open-air bath affords guests a view of Ishikari Bay as they soak in the inn's famed hot springs which are pumped from a private source. Ginrinsou offers up delicious kaiseki cuisine centered around seafood and made with fine Hokkaido ingredients.

This is a marvellous, highly exceptional ryokan. Everything from service, food, bath, location is top class. If one is prepared to spend this amount of money, the reward is excellent and certainly worth the money. A great experience!

일본 전통 고급 료칸 답게 정갈하고 깨끗하게 정리되어있는 다다미 객실과 건물 내부가 매우 인상깊었습니다. 항상 웃으면서 친절하게 응대해주시는 직원분들의 서비스 덕분에 내내 기분 좋게 쉴 수 있었습니다. 1월~2월은 폭설로 운영하지 않는 노천온천이 조금 아쉬웠지만 대욕탕에서 창문으로 밖을 볼 수 있어서 그나마 위안이 되었습니다. 동산 위에 있는 건물이라 교통이 조금 불편했지만 택시 기본요금으로 오타루칫코역까지 갈 수 있고, 긴린소우에서 픽업차량을 운행
