[Notice of Cold Water Barrel Bath Malfunction & Repair Work]
The Hoozuki-no-Yu Cold Water Barrel Bath currently out of order will be undergoing repair work on the schedule below.
As the Cold Water Barrel Bath is scheduled to open around autumn of 2026 after repairs, it cannot be used until then.
1. Work Period: June 10, 2026 (Wed.) - July 18, 2026 (Sat.) (scheduled)
2. Work Scope: Open-air Cold Water Barrel Bath in the Main Building 2F Large Communal Bath Hoozuki-no-Yu
3. Work Hours: 10:00 - 12:00 in general
As there are tasks that take time, work will be carried out between 10:00 - 14:30 only during the following period.
June 10 (Wed.) - June 13 (Sat.), 4 days
July 13 (Mon.) - July 16 (Thu.), 4 days
While there is no change in bathing times from June 14 to July 12 (outside the above period), the temporary construction wall will remain in place.
Bathing is available from 14:30.
4. Other:
- During the work period, the cold water barrel bath will be surrounded with a construction wall.
- Aside from the affected area, operations will proceed as normal even during the work period.
- While not during bath hours, vibration and noise may be noticeable during work hours.
- Rindo-no-Yu will be usable as normal.
- Construction-related vehicles will be passing through or parked in the premises during the work period.
- Information will be provided in case of any changes to the work period due to the work progress.
