Loved the old hotel. The ambience is great, but it could use some maintenance. The staff was very helpful and the breakfast and staff were wonderful. We enjoyed our stay.

The hotel is quaint but the location, next to the Sacred Bridge, is absolutely perfect. Dinner menu was an odd assortment of dishes, however the shrimps were delicious. The English-speaking waitress was very pleasant. The Western breakfast was good. Nice,

The service was fantastic. Boiled water and ice water are filled before we entered the room. Location was good, near Shinkyo. But access to hotel is bad, got a steep slope to climb. Also, there was no hot bath in the hotel. Breakfast should be included

A wonderful place to stay in wonderful surroundings. The room we had was huge even to western standards. And although the food was a bit on a pricey side, it was worth it. I would definatly recommend this place to anyone staying in Nikko.
