I used the Tochigi residents' discount. When I made a reservation, the questionnaire asked whether I was a smoker or not. I answered "none of us smoke", but was shown to a smoking room. The questionnaire is meaningless! Until last year, we were given a flyer with a 500 yen discount when we checked out, but unfortunately, the distribution of the flyer has been terminated due to Corona.

The person in charge of the porte-cochere had a good command of Japanese and took our picture. The staff at the dining hall were all smiling and made us feel very good.

This time I stayed at Tsubaki Pavilion. When I made the reservation, there were only smoking rooms available, but I was able to change to a non-smoking room on the day of my stay. The staff informed us that if possible, dinner should be served within 60 minutes and breakfast within 45 minutes (of course, this is only a guideline, and we were not told anything if we exceeded the time limit). (Of course, this is just a guideline and nothing will be said if we exceeded it.) The children enjoyed the garden spa. It would be better if the garden spa had floatation rings or beat plates available for rent. We would stay there again. Thank you very much.

Last year we stayed on the 9th floor of Sakura-tei and this year on the 8th floor of Tsubaki-tei. The room is a Japanese/Western style room with 2 beds, 6 tatami mats, and 10 square meters. All four members of our family had a near-miss on the steps. Disinfectants are always available everywhere, so there is no need to worry about corona infection. The buffet for lunch was not implemented. The front desk and restaurant were very helpful. Dinner was served from 18:00-20:30 and breakfast from 7:00-9:00 (last admission at 8:30), but these times may change depending on the time of year you visit, so you should check on the day. I am glad to hear that the children enjoyed the pool. I would like to use it again.
