The smell of hot spring sulfur is gone. It was hot water that I looked forward to the next time to see how long I can enjoy good hot water.

“これぞ温泉旅館！”
予想を超える素晴らしい老舗温泉旅館で、那須岳の紅葉ハイクを含め、一泊二日の旅を夫婦で満喫できました。何よりも鹿野の湯からの源泉かけ流しの大浴場は最高でした。泉質、温度、濁り湯の色合い、一級品ですね。露天風呂はやや小さめながら、雨の金曜日でほぼ貸し切り状態。最高に気持ちの良い贅沢な温泉タイムを過ごせました。温泉だけでも大いに価値ありですが、加えて夕食、朝食とも非常においしくいただきました。素材を生かしたシンプルなお料理ですが、塩加減も味の濃さも程よい。締めのごはんの炊き具合、吸い物の味など、最後まで高いレベルでまとめられていました。建物は昭和の旅館という感じですが、部屋も浴場もロビーも清潔で、気持ちよく過ごせました。従業員の方々もまじめで、好感が持てました。旅館は外見だけでは分かりませんね。素晴らしい温泉とおいしい料理。これぞ温泉旅館という宿に巡り合えました。また行きたいです。
