Overall, the room, food and service were excellent. My only complaint is that the WiFi in the room did not work. The staff did not speak English very well, but was extremely helpful regardless.

Very nice Ryokan with amazing baths and great food. Unfortunately, don't feel like it's worth the premium price relative to other options. Was not offered shuttle service mentioned in other reviews (seems like that's only available to Annex?)

Great historical building. Room looks exactly as shown in the pictures, and the futons are the best I've ever slept on during my Japan trip. The in-room kaiseki dining is one of the best experience and the meals are very delicious. The staff who served us
