A wonderful traditional Japanese inn, overlooking the Matsukawa Valley with 300 years of history. The writer Mori Ogai is said to have stayed at Fujiiso in the spring of 1890. He made mention of it in his travel diary, and it has been well-known ever since. The architecture of the inn is in the traditional sukiya style, which has its roots in the 16th century and was popularized as a typical tea house design from then on. The surrounding scenery changes its hue depending on the season and the inn itself nestles neatly amongst this natural aesthetic paradise. Guests can expect the highest quality of service and the warmest of welcomes.

緑に癒さ、自然に癒される旅館です。しかしながら、掃除が行き届いてないのがとても残念です。チェックインするのに、お抹茶を頂く場所はとてもいい場所なのに…上を見るとクモの巣だらけ、窓も夏で虫が来るから仕方ないかもしれないが汚いのが目につく。だから観光バスも入って来てしまう旅館になってしまったのかな？と寂しく思いました。それさえなければとても良い旅館です。

連休明けの藤井荘は本当に素晴らしかった。 ロビーの窓は全開にされ、新緑の風が吹き込む。優しい光。 静かでありながら森の音が響き、この時期ならではの独特な、懐かしい香りに包まれる。 ほんものの自然に包まれた、まるで理想郷でした。 これこそが信州にあってほしいもの、求めているものです。 いまどきのモダンさを追求するでもなく、不易流行とでも言うのでしょうか、 一方で近年はワイン造りをする人が増えている地域だそうで、地ワインも堪能できました。同じ地域の食材を活かした和食と本当に合います。テロワールですね。名旅館らしく地に足の着いた取り組みだと思います。 ここならば、夏も秋も冬も、きっとその季節らしさを上品に感じられそうです。 季節を変え、また訪れたいと思いました。

女将はじめスタッフ皆さんの気くばりが素晴らしく、本当に満喫できました。また、寛げるようなおもてなしが細部にわたり用意してあり、１週間ぐらい滞在したいと思いました。 ロビーの大きな窓全面が開け放たれ、窓の外に広がる新緑の山々と小川のせせらぎの音で癒されます。 一日中ここに居てもいいと感じるお気に入りの場所でした。 近所に２ヶ所提携の温泉があり、宿泊者は無料で利用できます。近所の裏見の滝「雷滝」は必見です。 高山にはワイナリーがあり、高山でしか出回っていないワインもありロゼワインをいただきました！ 美味しいワインと食事、そして何よりマイナスイオンの大自然を満喫した旅でした。 女将さん、スタッフの皆さま。お世話になりました！

ゆっくり休養には最適な環境であるとおもう。騒々しい外国人が居なかったのが ホッとしている。
