[Hot Spring]
Tamatsukuri Onsen is an ancient hot spring, said to be the oldest hot spring in Japan. Fantastic Ryokan with superb service, albeit rather large and anonymous. The garden is the 8th best Japanese garden according to the Journal of Japanese Gardens, and I tend to agree with this rating (although I find the 11th rated one of Minami-kan Ryokan

出向いからお見送りまで、全ての従業員の方の親切丁寧な対応。 雨の日で靴の乾燥サービスがあり、浴衣は就寝用のものがもう１着有り、湯上がりにはあぶり餅とお茶のサービス、朝にはドアの下に朝刊が入っている等々サービスも心憎いばかりです。 評判通り夕食は勿論、朝食の沢山のおかずがどれもとても美味しい。 常連さんらしき人が「ここに泊まったら他には行けない」と言っているのに納得。さすが「プロが選んだ・・・」少しお高目ですが、十分満足です。

“Rooms are spacious and comfortable.”
Although it is a Japanese-style room, room 1 has a counter where you can use a computer, and room 2 is a Western-style room that is clean and easy to use.
