“It's an additional selfishness on top of the perfect rating.”
I stayed one night with a scheduled departure time of 8:00 a.m. from Sanjo Keihan Station on the Tozai Subway Line to Yamashina the next morning. If I were to be selfish in giving the hotel an all-around perfect score, I would say that I got lost at the entrance because of the tranquil setting of the hotel facing the bustling Sanjo Street, and that I somehow made several mistakes from the elevator hall to my room. Except for these two points, where else should I stay? The restaurant at Monsieur Itoh is a little too small for my liking. The restaurant at Monsieur Ito was nice and relaxing. I think it is word-of-mouth that makes it popular among foreigners. The high quality of hospitality, the good quality beds, the many kinds of lighting fixtures and furnishings, and the elevator that stops only at the floor specified by card key are all reassuring. The Kamo River is nearby, and people are relaxing on the riverbank. There is a wide variety of restaurants and bars nearby, so you can stay for a long period of time, and the main shopping street of Kyoto is a short walk away. A bus route is right next to the building, providing access to Shimogamo Shrine and the front of Kyoto Station. I was able to move around Kyoto efficiently.
