This long-standing wood ryokan (traditional Japanese inn) offers guests glimpses of Taisho era Japan. Seasonal Kyoto flavors are abound in the Kyoto-style cuisine and the inn's large communal bath, using an artificial hot spring, is made from a 400-year old umbrella pine.

A wonderful Ryokan within walking distance of many of the Kyoto sights. Hiro and all the staff were extremely attentive and made us feel very welcome. The meals were excellent though it's worth noting that there is no choice of courses.

Very good address, the only inconvenient is the location, so cloth of a big road with a lot of traffic. But the room is beautiful, the food is delicious and the staff are so kind. I highly recommend this place.

An unforgettable experience! The room is very clean, the service is wonderful, and the food is impressive! The only drawback is that the closest bus stop is about 10-15 minutes walk. But overall it deserves a 5-star rating :)
