Nenrinbo is a Japanese-style hotel located in a quiet area nestled in the mountains of Kyoto. It boasts a spacious shared bath and a gorgeous garden that shows the beauty of the season. Enjoy the exquisite flavors of a kaiseki cuisine meal for dinner in the comfort of the hotel’s dining room. Free Wi-Fi connection may be used in the entire hotel.
Rooms have tatami mat floors, futon bedding, flat screen TV, mini fridge, and electric kettle (with green tea).
From July 12, 2025 to August 31, 2025, guests may use the outdoor swimming pool free of charge. A variety of art pieces are displayed in the hotel. A souvenir shop is also on site.
This hotel is a 10-minute drive from Kinkaku-ji Temple, a 30-minute drive from JR Kyoto Station, and a 20-minute bus drive from the Kitaoji bus terminal. From the Kitaoji subway station, a free round-trip shuttle bus to Kinkaku-ji Temple is available (reservation required in advance).
Japanese-style breakfast and seasonal cuisine dinner are served at the dining room. Dinner is served between 18:00 and 19:30 (time is strictly followed). Guests with 2 or more consecutive night stays may select between Western-style meal or Japanese-style meal, and dinner may be a choice between shabu-shabu, nabe hot pot, and sukiyaki.

Extremely nice Ryokan with wonderful meals and extremely friendly service by the owner himself ... located in the hills surrounding Kyoto. The hotel has a pickup service from a subway station to simplify access.

Location of hotel is not very accessible, but service from hotel staffs were excellent. Room was very spacious and kaiseki meals provided was oishi!!

大学見学を兼ねた旅行で利用しました。 とても静かな立地で、ソファーに腰かけ中庭を眺めながらだったので、チェックインの待ち時間も気になりませんでした。むしろ、少ない人数でそれぞれのお客に丁寧に、また英語でも対応されていたのが印象的でした。 無料送迎も嬉しいサービスです。 部屋は明るく広く快適で、バス・洗面・トイレが独立しているのは嬉しいです。和の朝食も豪華で満足。時間指定で、ゆっくり美味しく頂きました。 大浴場の入口、スリッパを脱いだ先に仕切りカーテンがさらにあるとなお良いと思います。 最初は徒歩圏内に商業施設がないのは不便かなと思いましたが、だからこそ、この静寂なゆったりまったり空間がうまれるのねと納得しました。 また泊まりたいです。

チェックアウトの時間に過ぎてしまったにもかかわらず次の目的地までの行き方を丁寧に教えてくださったり、部屋まで案内してくださったりととにかく接客が半端なかったです！！ 強いて言うなら大浴場のシャワーが熱くなったり冷たくなったりするのと、アメニティーの歯磨き粉に清涼感がなかったのが残念でした。でも部屋もとてもお洒落で、シックで、すごくテンションがあがりました！ありがとうございました！また京都に行くことがあったら是非利用したいと思います！

“Very good”
Very nice ryokan, though more like a hotel. Suitable for family with young children too. Staff very nice, can speak English very well. Provide free drop off at some place of interest (e.g. Kinkakuji Temple)
