Located at the famous sight of Nanzen-ji Temple, all guestrooms are Japanese-style and Sukiya-style (traditional tea-ceremony room style) facing Chisen Kaiyu-shiki Japanese garden (garden with paths surrounding ponds and water area). The sophisticated traditional Kyoto dishes and kaiseki (traditional multi-course dinner) cuisine are especially popular among guests.

This is our first Ryokan experience. It is just wonderful. We stayed for 5nights. We enjoyed it so much, and we had a deeper understanding of the Japanese culture. Kikusui is not in central Kyoto, it is located in the nice and quite Nanzanji temple area.

이 정도 금액의 료칸을 생각했을 때 적합했던 객실과 서비스였던 것 같습니다. 위치는 시내에서 조금 떨어지나, 조용하고 한적한 마을에 있어서 휴식하기 좋았습니다. 목욕탕은 그냥 물을 데운 대욕탕이 있었습니다. 간단히 목욕하고 씻기에 좋았습니다. 여기서 석식+조식 포함해서 4인실에 1박있었는데, 음식은 다른 고급 료칸보다 짧은 코스였습니다. 맛이나 음식 퀄리티는 아주 좋았습니다. 작은 정원도 아기자기하고 예뻤습니다.

晚餐是在是太混了，完全吃不饱，都是豆腐，一共6道菜，4道是豆腐，一道是米饭。虽然豆腐很精致，但是咱们得考虑一下吃饱的问题吧。其他都很好

老牌优质旅馆，一切都安排得井井有条。最值得称赞的是每天的早餐和晚餐，基本上每顿饭会换一个房间用餐，在不同的角度来欣赏内庭的风景。菊水的京料理的水平实属上流，甚至于它和后来我们去的米其林三星的菊乃井总店相比，口味和摆盘方面也不落下风。而早餐里的那一块腌制的煎鱼，是在我们后来居住过的那么多旅馆中做得最好的。店经理特别热情，英语也很流利。管家和女将都尽心尽责。如果下次去京都，我还会考虑选择菊水。

餐食很美，庭院也很美，可惜晚餐回来晚了，无法边用餐边欣赏。 去的时候正是中秋，在房间就能欣赏明月，非常雅静。房间准备的浴衣也很好看。可惜我家宝贝太小，宝贝款的太大了 店家服务很好，出门的时候会恭送，有点不习惯。带了个两岁多的娃去，很是闹腾，反而是我们夫妻一直心怀歉意。 唯一不好的就是无论去地铁口还是去公交车站，对于拖娃跑的有点远。当然，若是去南禅寺，不能再近了。在房间都能看到东山了

非常美好的体验。旅馆紧邻南禅寺，清晨体验到了静谧的寺院之美。菊水本身的庭园也是著名的美，住了2晚，每次用餐都被精心安排到不同的房间体验不同的庭园之美。服务的女将和管家态度令人感怀，店家的素有口碑的怀石料理器物精美，味道美好，烹饪精工。非常赞！
