Kyoto Townhouse: Murasakino Shion-an

Shion-an is a traditional Kyoto townhouse located at the foot of Mt. Funaoka in Kyoto's Rakuhoku area. It is equipped with 4 free rental bicycles. Just 1 minute away on foot from the cultural heritage property, Funaoka Onsen. This sento is great for groups and families (Adults 410 yen). Great access to sites in the city on foot including: Daitokuji (10 mins), Imamiya (13 mins), Kinkakuji (17 mins), Hirano Shrine (20 mins), Kitano Shrine (19 mins) and Funaokayama Park (5 mins). The house is a 2-storey wooden building (non-smoking) with no elevator. After check-in and a short explanation of the facility, guests are free to come and go as they please - it's not so much "staying" like in a hotel, but more like "living" in your own Kyoto house! Meals are not provided, but guests are free to make use of the fully-furnished kitchen. Please try not to cook anything too smelly though! Amenities like shampoo, tea and coffee are provided.
