Located just in front of Hankyu Arashiyama Station, this hotel is far more than just convenient. The guest rooms are permeated by the undeniable atmosphere of Kyoto, and the delicious, seasonal cuisine served here is based on traditional cuisine and crafted to reflect the beautiful four seasons of Arashiyama. The hot spring baths are also not to be missed, from the indoor and open-air communal spas to the free-to-use private baths, each with its own charm. While not relaxing at the hotel, guests can enjoy sightseeing with ease as the Arashiyama bus stop is only a minute's walk away.
Lodging Hospitality
- At dinner, around 30 kinds of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks are free and all-you-can-drink!
- The 5 varieties of private baths are free to use and can be used as often as guests like all night long.
- Female guests can select a colored yukata free of charge. (First come, first served basis)
- At the bath lounge, guests will be provided with cool popsicles.
- Guests will be provided with a late-night snack: Yonaki soba noodles & monthly-changing jelly desserts.

Easy access from Kyoto Station to Hankyu Arashiyama Station bus stop which is a few minute walk to the resort. Once you check in you will be taken good care with great accommodations, kaiseki dinner and onsen. The room is comfortable with great amenities.

Excellent service and food. Great experience overall. The hotel is smaller than I expected. Not much places to explore inside the hotel.

The tall guy who serves at restaurant is the best service man I’ve ever met. I want to give him a best point. Thank you for your kindness service.

The room assigned was just on top of a dumpster. Every morning can clearly hear the garbage truck operation, and apparently cannot enjoy the balcony at all. Besides that, everything is excellent.

Don't waste your money. Not a real Ryokan or Onsen. Opposite the train station overlooking a big parking lot. Yukatas available until they run out which happened quickly. Room basic for the price. Few individual baths for number of rooms in the hotel. 2 di

Overall, it was a pleasant stay. The location was 30 secs from Arashiyama station, and the facilities were great. However, the food was nearly horrible, and I was barely able to eat dinner(kaiseki) and skipped breakfast.

Room: This is a modern, concrete building Ryokan. The walls were thin. On our floor (3rd) there was a smoking room which made everything smell like smoke. Food: If you haven't eaten Japanese food before, the Kaiseki-style Japanese cuisine will be a deligh

Convenience location. Great food. Service can be improved though. The servers seem overworked and understaffed during dinner time. We felt kind of being rushed when she served us food.

The overall ambiance felt like a tourist factory. We did not feel like guests, rather we felt like numbers in a production line. I had to remind myself I was in Japan, not China. This was in huge contrast to other places we've stayed in Japan.

I don't recommend this for anyone who does not speak Japanese. There were strict etiquette expectations and no one to explain. No helpful literature in English. We stayed in four hotels in Japan, and this was the only one that was challenging. Staff were b

Kadensho boasts brilliant service and proved the lovely escape in Arashiyama. It is easily accessible, near the train station which connects you to Kyoto and beyond. Furthermore, the room I stayed in was comfortable and spot clean. The best thing about thi

This is a hotel targeting foreign tourists, so communicating in simple English with the staff is not a problem. Facilities are so “commercial” which mainly cater to foreign tourists and make it lack the traditional Japanese ambiance that we looked for.

Location is great, located just next to Hankyu Arashiyama Station. Service and facilities are wonderful too. Only disappointment is the dinner. Expected a Kaiseki kind of dinner, offering different and/or special dishes, but was given common dishes li

The service is not so good. Reluctant to assist the tourists. We face the problem of the traffic in expressway on the way from nagashima to Kyoto. We delay our time for dinner and we were there at 7.15 p.m. They said all dinner for us 18 pax are canc

Easy to access, but I'm only stay one light, just try the private bath, the public bath time is too limited, only 1500-2300, not only in the morning, not convenience. Service is ok, I will return to stay on non peak season
