This lodging, which was founded in 1839, is located in the town of Monzen near Higashi Honganji Temple, just a 7-minute walk from Kyoto Station.
At this lodging, guests can spend a relaxing time in an authentic, Kyoto-style building.
And, the building was remodeled 4 years ago, integrating a new design.
For meals, the 7th generation owner will act as head chef to prepare and serve guests traditional Kyoto-style kaiseki cuisine.
Not only does that menu change depending on the season, it changes each day with ingredients stocked from Kyoto’s central market every morning.
Experience a relaxing stay and special cuisine that can only be found here in a building that fuses tradition and new designs.

Izuyasu Ryokan has been a real pleasure. The ryokan is a real typical kyoto house. It is very clean and well mantained. The room was quite big even by the western standards, facing a beautiful small garden. In spite of being in the very centre of Kyoto, th
