This is a traditional Japanese-style, cypress-made inn located in the heart of Kyoto. It has an old feel and has quiet surroundings. Guests are met with polite service. The seasonal the traditional, elegant Japanese kaiseki dishes are exceptional. Please note that the latest possible start time for dinner is 19:00, so the ryokan asks that guests check in by this time. Guests who will arrive later than 19:00 are asked to contact the ryokan (in advance, if possible).

We were impressed by the hotel adjusting to our food preferences, and very touched when, after checking out, our host Hiromi and a receptionist came outside to wave us good-bye for a long time, as long as we could see each other.

This is our second time staying in the Ryogan after few years, service and food was top notch as always! Room was nice and cozy with a fantastic garden view. Special thanks to the staffs who served us, very warm and welcoming which made us felt like home.

Wonderful service at this delightful ryokan. we had a very relaxing stay , everyone was so warm n friendly , esp front office. the food was really delicious (and plus we got to try some Japanese foods which is not so common in the usual Japanese restaurant

The whole place is outdated and dirty.everything smells rely bad. We find aspiders as we step in the room. The rooms don't have bathroom (only a toilet) and you need to make appointment for shower in a limited schedule. Truly disappointed!

“Exceptional”
My adult son and I had a wonderful stay. The staff were exceptional in looking after us during our stay. It was a highlight of our trip staying at this Ryokan and we will have great memories of our room, the food, baths and service. Highly recommended.
