Old and dated. Poorly-maintained place, thus didn’t bother to check out the onsen. Stains on tatami. Poor ventilation. The corridor is filled with a strong fishy smell the entire night as cooking was done adjacent to the corridor. Not value-for-money.

Cheap clean room & nothing else. Minimum amenities in room. No electric kettle but thermoflask with hot water provided Baths has no shower gel. Only soap bar provided

Mashu is a good choice as central location in Akan National Park, and Hotel Mashu is to me the best choice for staying: really nice people, nice room, onsen, plus the fastest Internet connection i ever had.

i experienced a very relaxing time. the hotel is an older kind, but the rooms are big and nice. the onsen is 24h and the owner and stuff are very friendly and helpful. you get an excellent service for your money!
