This retreat is home to 3 gardens designed by Mirei Shigemori, one of which lays claim to being one of the first gardens in Koyasan. Designated as a national preserved treasure in February 2010.

A Buddhist temple is also located on site, so both staff and priests will offer hospitality to guests.

Extremely expensive for what it is. There's nice simplicity in your accommodation, but there's a point which it becomes a rip off, with a brief ceremony thrown in. Wouldn't recommend it. Have had more authentic experiences for a fraction of the price. We s
