More about Kotohira Grand Hotel Sakuranoshou

This is a hot spring ryokan in the temple town for Kotohira-gu, a Shinto shrine dedicated to a god of the sea, where the abundant countenance of the four seasons can be seen. From the open-air baths, guests can see cherry blossoms in the spring, fresh verdure in the summer, and autumn leaves in the fall.

For dinner, guests can enjoy Japanese cuisine prepared by the head chef who placed second in the Skill Grand Prix. Every year, during the spring, there are Kabuki performances. The oldest Kabuki small theater in Japan is approximately 200 meters away.

[Hot Springs]
Guests can relax their mind and body in the open-air baths and large communal baths from which the natural scenery of Kotohira-gu can be seen. In the women's open air baths, guests can enjoy the flower bath with floating roses during a set time (15:00 - 24:00).

[Guestrooms]
There are a variety of room types available, including Japanese and Japanese/Western-style rooms, and rooms with open-air baths.
*All rooms: Wi-Fi is available for free.
*All rooms: Bathroom has a washlet toilet.
*All rooms: Air purifier available in room.

[Breakfast]
Guests can enjoy a buffet of approximately 50 different Japanese and Western-style dishes, including crab and sashimi, freshly baked bread, and freshly cooked egg dishes, in the Kabuki themed restaurant on the 7th floor.

*Recommendations for guests using JR Trains
For those traveling around the Shikoku region, the All Shikoku Rail Pass is now on sale at JR!
For those traveling around the Kansai region, the JR West Rail Pass is now on sale at JR!

In the area around the ryokan, there is also a large shopping center (about 30 minutes away by train) and a national park (about 20 minutes away by car).

I was able to savor each dish slowly. The ice cream for dessert at the end was very delicious. I would definitely stay here again.
