Hayataro Onsen was named after the legendary heroic dog Hayataro of Kozen-ji Temple.

Guests can look forward to immersing themselves in quality hot spring water in a faintly fragrant cypress tub, where body and mind are refreshed and stresses of daily life relieved.

Detached rooms with open-air baths are available for guests' use beginning in July 2008.

Meals are prepared mainly with local ingredients and arranged to reflect the season. Savor sweetened boiled fish, salt-grilled Iwana trout, other freshwater fish, matsutake mushrooms, and other seasonal dishes.

Enjoy spending a relaxing time in bright, clean guestrooms where the delicate scent of wood hangs in the air.

      “落ち着いた湯宿”

      少し肌寒かったので館内でストーブやヒーターが用意されて普段エアコンばっかりなので優しい暖かさで迎え入れていただき手作りケーキも用意してあり感動しました。露天風呂付きのお部屋でしたがお風呂の温度も管理されてて言うこと無しです。お料理も品数豊富で美味しくいただき大満足です。景色も最高で今度は春の景色が見たいです。

      “また泊まりたいです。”

      千畳敷カールに行った後に利用させてもらいました。 建物は古いけど部屋もお風呂も掃除が行き届いていて、部屋係の方の対応も良く、とても素敵な良い宿でした。 特に部屋の中に宿の方の気遣いが溢れていて、癒されました。 食事もとても美味しく、お風呂も趣きがあって大変気に入ったので、また次回も利用させて頂きたいです。

      “食事も美味しく、温泉も最高。”

      静かな場所で、のんびり過ごせました。部屋に露天風呂のある宿で、露天から雄大な山々が見え最高です。夜は少しだけでしたが、素敵な星空を眺めながらの温泉。食事は馬刺しのメニューを、こちらも美味しく頂きました。パイ包のグラタンも美味しく最高です。ウエルカムスィーツは冷蔵庫の中にあり、その日はチーズケーキでこちらも美味しく頂きました。とても素敵な宿でした。

      “寛げる宿”

      以前の印象が良く、再訪しました。数年たったのに建物もきれいなまま維持され、女将さん手作りのケーキや、お料理やサービス、頑張っておられるなぁと思いました。ゆったりした空気感の流れる雰囲気も変わっていませんでした。部屋の露天風呂も広めで温度もよく　ゆっくり寛げました。
