This Japanese-style hotel is located on a hill overlooking the Arima hot spring resort and Mt. Rokko, where guests can enjoy the magnificent landscape from comfortable guest rooms. Choraku also offers both "golden" and "silver" hot springs from private sources to fill the communal spas and open-air baths. The expertly prepared kaiseki course cuisine served here features delicacies like authentic Kobe Beef and the freshest seafood from nearby Akashi.

The only place in Arima with coveted Golden and Silver springs.
These two types of spring water are pumped into the large communal baths and open air bath "Kunugi-no-yu) for a total of 10 baths.
Kunugi-no-yu has a standing bath, and a sauna is equipped in the large communal baths.

(The onsen area is about 15 minutes away on foot)

Excellent”
Interesting hot springs in a great location. The Kobe beef was amazing! You get a mini bbq to cook the beef yourself - great way to try out this amazing delicacy. Room is typical Japanese ryokan - no surprises.

This hotel is by far our favorite place to stay. We stayed here a few years ago and would definitely stay here again. It is excellent in every way - the service, the food, the onsen . . . . it is the BEST! Although it is away from the shopping areas,

Exceptional”
We stayed in the Western twin room (breakfast and dinner included) on the fifth floor (503). The room is spacious with a good view of the mountains. There is also wireless access which we did not need as we rented a portable wifi device for about 5,000 Yen
