Be aware that Arima Royal is located on top of a small knoll / hill quite a distance away from the train station. There is shuttle minibus service to the hotel from the station, but we were unaware of it during our arrival, and also wanting to explore the

“温泉の中心地”
建物自体はかなり降るそうでした。立地は中心にあり便利です。食事は会席料理でしたが特に印象に残るものはなく、地元のものなどをもっと使用してくれるといいです。

“おもてなしが良い”
ホテルは坂の上。階段を上がった所に位置し、息を切らしながら行き着いたのですが、玄関を入るとお香の香りと感じの良いフロントの男性の応対で、疲れは忘れました。お部屋はグレードアップして頂き、床暖房もあり快適に過ごせました。食事の準備をしてくださった若い仲居さんも、とても感じの良い方でした。食事も朝晩ともお腹がいっぱいになりました。残念なのはお風呂。男女入れ替え制になっていますが、小さい方のお風呂はウナギの寝床のよう。更に露天風呂へ続く扉に何も書いていなかったので、最初そこを開けて行って良いのかわかりませんでした。大きい方のお風呂は良かったです。場所がわかりづらいので、行かれる方は、事前によく調べられると良いでしょう。

“部屋が良かった”
禁煙和室８畳でしたが、思ったよりも広くてキレイで快適でした。奥の間に既に布団が敷いてありました。露天風呂は囲いがあり眺望や風通しが悪くて開放感がなく残念でした。伊勢海老会席料理は期待ハズレ、伊勢海老を食べたという満足感はほとんどありません。お肉の方が良かったかな。部屋が快適だったので全体としては満足です。

“金泉”
金泉に入りたくてここにしました。湯船の底が見えないくらいで、初めてだったのでびっくりしました。豊富な湯の量でとっても気持ちよかったです。仲居さんの応対も良く、行きたいケーキ屋さんも調べてくれて、教えてくれました。高速は使わないとか、少し並ぶことなどが参考になり、おかげさまで大して並ばずロールケーキを買うことげできました。ありがとうございました。川岸の夏祭りも涼しくておしゃれで家族連れむきでした。
