The interior of this ryokan (traditional Japanese inn) exhibits a romantic ambiance reminiscent of the Taisho era (early 20th century). Kikuya is located in front of the Shuzenji Onsen-eki bus stop, and features an open-air garden bath. Renovations were completed in July 2006.

A classic ryokan with lots of history attached to it. Less accustomed to catering to an international clientele than a Japanese one. Japanese-style room was spacious and comfortable but faced a noisy construction site with plastic sheeting draped over it.
