This hotel relaunched in April 2007 after an extensive renovation, and it now offers new large baths with views of the surrounding scenery, outdoor baths, and saunas. The hotel overlooks the beautiful Kesennuma Port, and guests love its cuisine which makes use of seasonal seafood from the Sanriku coast.

It's the second time in 10 years.”
I came here for the first time in the summer one year after the earthquake. Since then, I have been to Kesennuma every year, and this is the second time I have stayed here. I enjoyed the meals full of seafood. I was also amazed at the reconstruction of Kesennuma.

Japanese-style rooms on the mountain side and a large morning bath have issues.”
The Japanese-style room we stayed in on the third floor on the mountain side had a low wall, so when standing inside the room, we had a full view of the parking lot at close range, and we had to keep the curtains closed at all times during our stay, which was disappointing. This may be a problem because the room is designed to have the same large windows as those on the ocean side, where the view is better. I think it could be improved with minimum burden if the lower half of the window glass is made like frosted glass. Morning bath Although check-out time is 10:00 a.m., I was disappointed to find that the large bath is only open until 9:00 a.m. Also, the bath is cleaned before 9:00 a.m. I was also very disappointed that the employees cleaning the baths started preparing in the changing rooms before 9:00 a.m., and as soon as 9:00 a.m. arrived, they started cleaning as if they were pressuring the guests in spite of the fact that there were people using the baths. I think it would be possible to improve the situation without incurring costs if the cleaning schedule were made clear to customers, such as restricting entry to the changing rooms at 9:30, leaving the bathrooms at 9:45, and starting cleaning at 10:00.

Too bad for day-trippers.”
The course was designed for silver, but the food was delicious and very good in quantity. The baths in the hotel were satisfactory in terms of facilities, but there were many bathers who were not staying at the hotel at around 8:00 and 10:00 p.m. The baths were noisy and the washrooms were so wet that it was uncomfortable to enter them. I suppose it is unavoidable because of the Corona disaster and the small number of guests, but what should be done about the nighttime day-trip bathing?

Exceptional”
This hotel isn't a luxury experience, but the staff is very helpful and the food is good. The included set meal for dinner is mostly seafood which is in keeping with the town. Quality of food is very good. The breakfast buffet is extensive. Staffing at
