A traditional Japanese inn prizing its food and upholding Japanese customs and culinary practices. This inn, which opened in 1870, is about 1 hour from Kyoto Station.
3 types of large communal bath are available, including an open-air bath.
All guestrooms feature a view out onto a well maintained Japanese garden.
Tatami-floored Japanese-style rooms feature sliding Japanese doors, a sitting area, flatscreen TV, yukata, and more guestrooms have their own bathrooms.
The inn also has a shop with plenty of Japanese souvenirs.
This location is just a short drive from Hikone Station as well as Lake Biwa, the largest lake in Japan, and historical Hikone Castle.
A free shuttle service is available between the station and the inn. Call the inn from the station for pickup.
Breakfast and dinner are served in private dining rooms. Lunch can also be served for an additional charge.

Our best experience in Japan. Nice and fancy dinner and breakfast, the host would prepare private dining hall if choose not to dine in the room. The Ryokan offered pick up from train station and to main tourist spots. Great bath place. Staff are very atten

たまたま宿泊者が少なかったのかもしれませんが、大浴場は常に貸切状態でゆっくりでき廊下でも他の宿泊客に会うことはなくとても静かな宿でした。食事会場が自分たち１組だけだったので静かすぎて逆に落ち着きませんでした。従業員の若い女性の方の接客がとても気持ちの良い接客でした。部屋から庭園が見えるのですが夜には秋の虫の声が聞こえて風情がありました。公式ホームページに書いていたわらび餅のお土産を楽しみにしていましたが売っていないようで残念でした。

彦根城近くの料亭旅館、夕食がとても美味しかったです。全てのお料理がきちんとしていました。また、桜の季節に泊まりたいです。ただ、廊下やお風呂場の脱衣場などとても寒かったです。旅館のサービスも良かったです。
