Service was below standard. There was minimum explanation when we checked in. No one led us to our room and no tea was served. We need to make the futon ourselves. Overall the least value for money Onsen hotel we ever had.
Spent just the one night at the hotel with my partner, as at almost $500Aud it is not a cheap stay.We chose a Western style Japanese room, which was clean and spacious. Did not like the fact there were 2seperate beds and unable to have 1 queen. We had a sm
Getting to the place was pretty easy, just quite a trip -- from the Odiwara station, the Hakone Tozan takes you there with one transfer on the same line. Once you arrive at the small GORA station, Hakone Setsugetsuka is only a short walk away. Check-in was
Don't be fooled by the fancy photos! This hotel is actually rundown. We had a lot of wear & tear in our room and around the rest of the property. Everything looked very 'used'. The room was a generous size and the onsen was decent. The location was easy fr
For international Guest an alternate breakfast offer (western style) will be better. Even only coffee and Sandwich will be fine.
Beautiful onsen ryokan, we chose the room with private outdoor bath: big room, confortable bed, good amenities and the private bath is nice for the night when you may want more privacy. The public onsen baths were beautiful and not crowed and it was quite
Good location as it is right next to the cable car station. Facilities and food are superb.
The room is nice but don’t have onsen in rooms but only hot bath. Very traditional Japanese style. Room is nice. Food is ok.
This is a big hotel. Can be chaotic during peak hours. Open bath does not mean hot spring in the room, only hot water.
I came across Japanican.com while I was searching for a hotel in Hakone. I am very happy and satisfied during my two nights stay here. Location is easy, food was good and service was exceptional. I have three kids under age of 10 during my stay and the sta
The place was fabulous, onsen wonderful and the food unforgettable.
Beautiful, comfortable and cosy resort for relaxation. The services were superb! And the onsen is really nice.
We had a 4 peoples room, it was big enough, there was 2 beds and 2 futons. They explained the facilities at the check in. The staff is speaking english and everyone is really nice. You can wear a yukata all day and they are quite confortable. Breakfast and
Location of this ryokan was good, easy to find and essentially has the train station right outside its doorstep. Also quite close to various attractions such as the Hakone Open Air Museum, the Yunessun pool, Gora park, etc. Facilities and room are good a
Very good location next to Gora station and bus stops. 2 western and 2 futon room was very spacious and clean with a nice outdoor onsen. Shampoo, conditioner, body wash, toothbrush, and brush all provided with pajamas and yukata. Japanese dinner was good f
Rooms with private baths. Be aware that the private baths in room are not spring water, just tap water. Would be nice if it was more transparent prior to booking. Also, choose your meal time carefully as they don’t allow changes. Otherwise it was nice over
Great service there and super convenient with Gora station just two minutes walk away. The staff were extremely helpful and tried their best to accommodate even when they did not understand English, which I found very nice of them to. Loved the meals provi
Hotel is new and clean, it’s also very convenient.
This is one of our splurges and we had high expectation but unfortunately this hotel just fell short. While the room is very beautiful and large, it's not very clean esp shower and in-room onsen. The service was indifferent. The food was just so so and the
Access is not too easy. Either 2 trains or a long Bus and walking! Service does not speak English, which sometimes makes it more complex. Other than that the place and the views are magnificent. Food is an experience, for sure. Not easy to go through that.
