The hotel name Byakudan means sandalwood. On site are 16 elegant accommodations spread out across a 3-acre land. The lobby features a high ceiling with wide glass windows through which a panorama of the Hakone mountains can be seen.

露天風呂付き客室の函を利用させていただきました。【２０２５／１２ 利用 ２人で約１１万円】 到着から出発まで、スタッフの皆様からおもてなしいただき、スタッフの皆様には感謝しています。 しかし、白檀さんの【４つ星で１１万】ということを考えると、今回のお部屋と料理はかなり残念でした。 昨年、白檀さんそばの３つ星宿【露天風呂付き客室 ２人で９万円】に宿泊しましたが、お部屋からの展望、内装ともに今回と遜色が無かったです。 また、料理の味、見た目、量全てが昨年宿泊した宿の方が遥かに上でした。 食事処が部屋ランクで分けられ【食事処からの展望の有無】、私達が案内された食事処は日光が入らなかったのも残念でした。 ※仕方ないことだとは思いますが、晴天日の朝食が閉鎖空間で薄暗いのは気になりました。 初めて箱根の高級旅館に泊まるのなら満足度は高いのかもしれません。

ロビーのガラス張りの壁面から望む箱根の雪景色、最高です。 大浴場は夜に行ったのみですが、半露天かなにかでどこか少し開いているのでしょうか？洗い場がものすごく寒かったのと、湯気でほとんど何も見えない状態で歩くのが少し怖かったです。大きなガラス張りで眺めは十分良いので、そこまでして露天にこだわる必要はないのではと思いました。 夕食は品数が多く、いろんな食材や調理法を楽しむことができ、お腹いっぱいになりました。 ただ個人的には夕食はあまり印象に残るものがなく、朝食のほうが美味しくいただけました。 フリーフローサービスは、リキュール類など甘めのお酒がメインで万人向けのものが少なかったのと、おつまみが駄菓子しかなかったのが少し残念。駄菓子自体は楽しいのでなくしてしまう必要はありませんが、おかきやチーズもあれば嬉しいです。 同じフリードリンクでも朝のシャンパンは最高でした！

オープンから３度宿泊しています。再訪する度に、感じるのは清潔感、宿のコンセプト「香り」朝の６時頃から、宿に白檀のお香を焚き始めほのかに宿中が香りに包まれます。大人の宿なので、他サイト口コミにある様に小さなお子様歓迎では無く、食事時に騒いだりされるとクレームが来そうなくらい日頃の疲れを静かに癒したい客層が多いと思います。私は小学生子供連れでしたが、騒がない様に毎回注意を払っています。子供向けのお食事はありますが、量的に小学生以上で部屋の設えも、ガラスのコップ等危ない物が多いです。大人には、設えがぴったり合うのですが、、お食事は鮮度の良い海鮮は素晴らしいですが、若干少なめと感じるので予約制でアラカルトメニューがあればと毎回感じています。温泉は最高ですね。高齢の両親もとても気に入っています。お客様のご意見を真摯に意見を取り入れて努力されてる姿に次回の再訪も楽しみになります。

両親と５歳、９歳の子連れ旅でした。チェックインより随分早めに到着しましたが、見晴らしの良いロビーでコーヒーを頂いているうちにお部屋に通して頂きました、助かりました！ありがとうございます。お食事は、お値段のわりにはさっぱりしている様な気がしました。全体的に小盛り気味で、メインのお料理にボリュームがあるとバランスが良いのかもしれません。とはいえ、お酒を飲む方には丁度良い量ですよ。お子様ランチはとっても美味しく完食していました！朝食は、干物が選べるのが嬉しいですね。温泉は内風呂が源泉かけ流しで、２４時間好きな時に入浴出来ます。本当に良いお湯でした、大浴場は薄暗く夜はちょっと怖かったです。お部屋の設えはハイセンスな家具ばかりで大人の宿ですね。お子様連れも沢山いましたので、洗面台のガラスのコップは危険な感じがしました。オープンしたばかりの宿ですから、ぜひサービス向上頑張ってください。

“Excellent”
A small but very cozy place. Excellent Service with personal attention. A bit hard to get there but the nice room and private hot spring definitely worth the effort. Great staff. Love this place.
