Impeccably run ryokan super close to JR station. Very charming in all ways. Only wish there were more electric outlets. It was very warm but a floor fan was provided.

女将さんは明るく元気で一生懸命接客してくれます。食事も大満足。あんな新鮮な魚介が食べられるなんて幸せでした。夕食の目玉は身がぎっしり詰まった毛ガニ。女将さんが上手に毛ガニをむいてくれます。朝食は新鮮なイカ刺しとイカの味噌汁と黒米が印象に残りました。なんどでも泊まりたいと思わせてくれる宿でした。

“Japanese-style ryokan in the city, a rare find nowadays”
Perhaps taking advantage of the DOMIN Discount, all hotels in front of Hakodate Station are more expensive than usual, even though it is June. Among them, we stayed at the main building because it was at a normal rate and also because it is a rare Japanese-style ryokan in the city. Thanks to the thoughtful service of the Okami (hostess). I was concerned about whether young people would fit in as it was built as if they stayed there on a school excursion in the past, but my generation was nostalgic and had a good time. It is also nice to hear the sound of the streetcar.
